American Indian Contributions to the World

A Hardback, Five-Volume Set for 4th through 9th Grade Students

Ever since the publication of the award-winning book, American Indian Contributions to the World and its paperback release, American Indian educators have asked us to write a book in chapter format for young readers. We've come up with five volumes written with B.I.A. and curriculum standards in mind.

Each book contains:

  • Between 45 and 65 black and white historical photos,
  • Boxes and sidebars filled with fascinating facts,
  • Easy-to-read maps,
  • Timelines at the end of most chapters,
  • A glossary of ancient cultures, and
  • An index.

Facts On File's new American Indian Contributions to the World set is a unique five-volume collection that introduces young readers to the many important scientific, archetectural, agricultural and technological advances that American Indian have made throughout history – from the popcorn popper, chocolate and potatoes to igloos and kayaks, from geometry, zero and sign language to insect repellents, blowguns and hockey.

Filled with new information designed to motivate students.

Volumes include:

Buildings, Clothing, and Art
